Master of Ceremonies


Brian Wanzek, perhaps better known as drag personality, Bella da Ball, is Palm Springs’ area social ambassador and host/hostess with the mostest. Brian and Bella are involved with shows, various promotions, marketing, special events and productions.


Brian and Bella are recipients of a star on the Palm Springs Walk of Stars (located at 369 North Palm Canyon). Bella received Safe Schools Desert Cities Champion for Youth Award for LBGTQIA Youth In The Desert, PrideNation Best Entertainer People’s Choice Award for many years, Community Service Award from AIDS Assistance Program (AAP) at Evening Under the Stars with Cyndi Lauper and others and most recently received honors from Greater Palm Springs Pride, Desert AIDS Project and was named Desert Outlook’s Best of the Valley’s Ultimate Pride Drag Personality.


Bella appeared in Hairspray with Bruce Vilanch at Musical Theatre University at Rancho Mirage High School. Other involvement includes the Rainbow Youth Summit, Greater Palm Springs Pride and its Cabaret Stage, Broadway in Drag Pageant, Palm Springs International Film Festival and ShortFest, Modernism Week, Barbara Sinatra Children’s Center, Arenas Road Halloween celebrations, Rancho Mirage Women’s Club, Palm Springs Women’s Club, Fashion Week El Paseo, AAP Oscar’s Night, Desert AIDS Project events including Queen of the Desert pageant and Desert AIDS Walk, Act For MS Christmas Tree Lane, and many other events on the social scene and community calendars.


Bella presents a weekly show every Thursday at Copa. This evening of music-comedy-song-dance-costuming-headdressesaudience participation-photo ops-fun-celebration of birthdays/anniversaries and more features drag super stars and show biz entertainers. Bella also hosts Trivia every Monday evening at Ace Hotel.
