1982 and has 26 member bands in the USA, Canada and
Australia.

The first weekend in November is the Greater Palm

The LGBT Community Center of the Desert (aka “The Center”)
The mission of The Center is to enrich the lives of
the LGBT community.  A thriving, community-based
organization, the Center provides a safe and
supportive environment for members to enjoy
health, wellness, educational and social programs,
where people of all ages and backgrounds are
welcome.  The Center advances our mission
through senior programming, a clinical counseling
and internship program, a weekly food bank,
extensive social and recreational offerings, a free
community cyber center, a growing volunteer
program and periodic special events in the
community.
HISTORY
The Freedom Foundation of Los Angeles supports the "GAY Freedom
Band" and the "Union Station Swing Band".  Their members support DWFB
at Greater Palm Springs Pride in November.

The Palm Springs Gay Softball League (PSGSL)
was originally organized in 2005. The league
began with 4 teams and approximately 50
participants. Today (2010) the league has grown
to 9 teams with 130+  participants.    PSGSL
games are played at Demuth Park Sunday
afternoons all skill levels are welcome.
